We should be screaming “murder”
Holding hands out in the streets
We should be speaking up about her
Demanding justice from those in seats
It isn’t right or normal
For cosplay soldiers to shoot mothers
For an investigation to be informal
To declare it’s Us against the Others
And maybe we all see now because her skin was closer to snow
Than those that are not white, and really already know
If this is the first time considered, “it could be me too”
Maybe that’s what was missing – sanctioned murder isn’t new
